What do you need?
Therapy jargon can be confusing, and sometimes intimidating. Below is my take on the services I offer, to help you decide which might be best for you. Questions? Reach out to me so we can talk more.
Individual Therapy
What it is: Individual therapy is a conversation between you and I focused on the piece or pieces of your life that feel like they need a little extra attention. These conversations are often approached from a feelings standpoint - although I promise to try my best not to ask, "And how does that make you feel?" We can work together to set goals, which are again often feelings-based. Examples of goals set in therapy may include reducing anxiety, processing trauma, or improving boundaries.
What it costs: $125/session (Sessions are 50-55 minutes).
Single-Session Therapy (SST)
What it is: Single-session therapy is exactly what it sounds like - a therapeutic conversation meant to encompass the beginning, middle, and end of your therapy journey. Sometimes you just need someone you can vent to or unload on - there can be a real benefit to talking things out and giving yourself space to organize your thoughts, even if you don't feel ready for (or don't need) consistent and ongoing therapy. Examples of goals that can benefit from single-session therapy include processing distressing news (a loss, a diagnosis, etc.), exploring a specific conflict that's weighing on your mind (fight with a friend or spouse, etc.), or simply sorting through the overwhelming amount of stress you're living with in an open and non-judgmental space.
What it costs: SST sessions are 90-120 minutes in length and are $250.
Accountability Partnership
What it is: Making a lifestyle change is challenging - whether it's exercising more, managing your time better, cutting back on drinking, or something else completely. One method of improving your odds of success is to share your goal with someone that can help hold you accountable - many people do this by sharing their intentions with a friend or family member. For some, that's easier said than done. If you don't have someone you can trust with your goal or just don't feel comfortable sharing what you're working, consider allowing me to step in. You and I will work together to figure out what will help you most, whether that's email reminders each morning or an excited phone call from you to me to highlight your success.
What it costs: Check-ins generally last anywhere from 5-15 minutes depending on the method you choose.
1-2 check-ins weekly - $15/week
3-5 check-ins weekly - $25/week
6-7 check-ins weekly - $35/week
