Here's the plan.
While there's no right, wrong, or standard way for therapy/coaching to work, here's an outline of what you can expect when working with me:
Step 1 - You reach out to me via phone, text, or email, and let me know you're interested in learning more, getting questions answered, or setting up a free 15-minute consultation.
Step 2 - You and I meet for your free consultation (via phone or video). This is your chance to ask questions, share your concerns, let me know which service you're interested in, and see if you feel comfortable talking with me. In turn, I have a chance to know more about what you're wanting to work on, and will let you know if I feel that I'm an appropriate match for you. If we're a good fit - that's great! And if not, that's fine too. You're welcome to take as much time to think it over as you need - there's no pressure.
Step 3 - Schedule/have your first session. The first session is often focused on rapport-building and exploring what some of your goals are, if you have any. If not - that's okay. We can talk and figure them out together.
Step 4 - Schedule/have more sessions. The frequency of your sessions is up to you - as is the pace at which we work. Want to dive straight into some heavy stuff? Let's do it. Prefer to wait a while? That's fine too.
Step 5 - Have a talk about wrapping up. Often, you'll start to recognize when you're ready to scale back the frequency of sessions, or stop altogether. Please don't be afraid to bring that up with me - it's a normal part of the therapeutic process and is absolutely okay to talk about. We'll set a date for one last session so we have an opportunity to make sure we have time to wrap up or resolve any loose ends, and review the progress you've made.
